You have found your new addiction. Learn the basics of knitting, fix mistakes, and complete your first project in this 6-week class. We have several projects to pick from, or will help you find an appropriate pattern.

Thrummed Mittens

Keep your fingers toasty warm in some fleece-lined mittens. Typically seen in the Northeast, these will definitely keep the chill out!

Joy of Sox

You want the secrets to great socks, and we have the answers. Come and learn what everyone is talking about! Hand knit socks can be the most comfortable socks you will ever wear, and make a great gift for you or someone else. We will meet for three sessions and work through your first sock. Includes pattern.

Fair Isle Mittens
Saturdays, Feb 1, 8 1:00 – 3:00 pm

Learn traditional Fair Isle knitting in this class perfect for those who have never knitted mittens or those looking to expand their skills with colorwork.

Drop Spindle
Sunday, Feb 9 1:00 – 3:00 pm
1 session, $20

In this workshop, we give you the pieces to make your own basic drop spindle. Next is the wool to start learn-ing ‘park and draft’ method of spinning on the drop spin-dle. Material fee of $30 includes drop spindle and fiber to get started.

Beginning Crochet
Saturdays, Feb 15, 22, Mar 1, 8 1:00—3:00
4 Sessions $45

In this class geared towards beginners with no crochet experience, we start with a slip knot and chain stitch. We’ll be building skills with 4 stitch patterns and finish-ing techniques to make a charming scarf.

Amigurumi Crochet
Sundays, March 2, 7, 16 1:00 – 3:00 pm
3 session, $45

Amigu-who? Japanese for crocheted (or knitted) stuffed toy, we have a sweet sample for you to try. One pattern lets you create your pick of a cat, bunny or bear.

Knitting with Beads—Shawl
Saturdays, March 15, 29 10:00 – Noon
2 sessions, $35

No need to be intimidated by beading. There is more than one way to achieve stunning results. If pre-stringing hundreds of beads is not your cup of tea, we’ll show you a spiffy and quick option. Soon you’ll be adding beads to any pattern!

Knitting Loves Crochet
Saturdays, March 15, 29 1:00 – 3:00 pm

You don’t have to be on Team Crochet or Team Knit to enjoy your yarny obsessions. This scarf project starts by knitting the body of the project, and adding a beau-tiful crocheted finish. Amaze your friends who have only seen you with needles or hooks.

2 at a Time Toe-up Socks
Sundays, March 23, 30, April 6 1 pm – 3 pm
3 sessions, $45

Time to abandon the ‘second sock syndrome’. We’ll be working a pair of socks at the same time on the same circular needles! And they are toe-up so you can use more of your lovely yarn.

Monsters Alive!
Saturdays, April 5, 12, 19 10 – Noon
3 sessions, $45

This charming little monster by Rebecca Strange is a great little skill builder. It uses 3-needle bind off, stripes using the jogless jog, kitchener grafting and more! Step up your skills to the next level and gain a new pal in the process.
